New York based artist Erin Wilson creates elaborate works with her masterful quilting skills and keen sense of color and shape. While adopting the traditional form of quilting — Wilson’s unmistakable style is refreshing and modern. “Kogire” (meaning fabric swatches in Japanese) collection is made in collaboration with KOFU. Wilson uses vintage cotton textiles from our collection.
The work shows a sensitive attention to the textures, fades and mended parts of the original 100 years old fabric. It offers us a new way to appreciate this heritage from the past.
